I have found the most wonderful tools. Clay Shapers or colour shapers.
They were originally used with pastels to move the color around. They
work beautifully on the clay. I have used them for 4 years and can't
imagine sculpting with polymer clay without them. They are like shrinking
your fingertips, which are still my favorite, to very tiny instruments
to shape, and refine my sculpture. I get a very smooth look with them
and I have very little touchup after my sculpture is fired.
(Color Shapers look like paint brushes that have rubber wedges and points
rather than bristles.)
